Terms of service

The agreement between your church and Church Wide Web. Please read it before you create an account.

Last updated 10 October 2026

Who we are

Church Wide Web is a service of Semper Technologies Limited (RC 9571901), 5, Edwin Amadi Street, One Day, Enugu, Nigeria (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to churchwideweb.com, the Church Wide Web dashboard and every church website we host.

By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the church or organisation you act for, and you confirm you have its permission to do so.

The service

Church Wide Web lets churches build, publish and manage websites, mailboxes and domains. We may improve, change or add to the service over time. When a change takes away something you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

We work to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or problems outside our control.

Your account

Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password private and use one you don’t use elsewhere. You are responsible for what happens in your account, including what the people you invite do.

Tell us straight away if you think someone has got into your account without permission.

Your content

Everything your church adds (words, photos, files, sermons, events, messages and mail) stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show it only as needed to run the service for you, for example to publish your website, resize photos and deliver mail.

You confirm you have the right to publish what you add, including photographs of people and other people’s work.

You can download your content at any time from Export & leave.

Using Church Wide Web well

Your use of the service must follow our acceptable use policy. We may remove content or suspend a website that breaks it, and where we can we will tell you why first.

Price and payment

The current price is on our pricing page. Plans are paid in advance, by the month or by the year, in US dollars through our payment provider. Plans do not renew on their own: we remind you before your paid time ends, and you renew from your dashboard.

If a paid period ends without renewal, your websites stay online for a short grace period and then show a notice to visitors until you renew. We keep your content while this is so.

Payments are not refundable once a paid period has started, except where the law requires otherwise or where we end the service without good reason. We may change prices for future periods; we will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you.

Work you ask our team to do (such as a custom design) is priced by quote. It starts only after you accept and pay the quote.

Domain names

Domains you buy through Church Wide Web are registered in your church’s name, through an accredited registrar, and are also subject to that registry’s rules. Domain fees are paid for a year at a time and are not refundable once the domain is registered or the transfer has started.

Your domain is yours: you can move it to another registrar, subject to the registry’s rules (for example, most domains cannot move within 60 days of being registered or transferred).

Closing your website or account

You may close a website at any time from Export & leave. It stays online for 30 days, then goes offline, and is deleted 60 days after that. Until then you can change your mind. Closing a website never cancels a domain.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or our acceptable use policy, that does not pay, or where the law requires it. Unless the law or safety prevents it, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your content.

Responsibility and liability

We provide the service with care and skill. Beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of income or opportunity, or for problems caused by things outside our reasonable control.

Where we are responsible, our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You are responsible for claims that arise from content you publish or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If we disagree, we will first try to resolve it together in good faith; if we cannot, the courts of Nigeria will decide, without taking away any rights you have under the law where you live.
